艾伦·黑格长期任教于宾夕法尼亚大学与加州大学圣巴巴拉分校，从事凝聚态物理与高分子材料研究[^s3][^s4]。他与艾伦·麦克德尔米德、白川英树合作，探索共轭聚合物的电子性质[^s4]。

## 主要成就
