## Official history

> 何進字遂高，南陽宛人也。異母女弟選入掖庭為貴人，有寵於靈帝，拜進郎中，再遷虎賁中郎將，出為潁川太守。光和二年，貴人立為皇后，徵進入，拜侍中、將作大匠、河南尹。
