<body>Liu Fu served Gongsun Yuan, the self-proclaimed King of Yan in Liaodong, as censor-in-chief in the Three Kingdoms period. The Chinese Wikipedia article is titled Liu Fu and says the name is also written Liu Pu. Wikidata uses the same Chinese label with the English label Liu Fu, so the title stays as his personal name.[^zhwiki][^wikidata]&#xA;&#xA;## Sent to Sima Yi&#xA;&#xA;Chinese Wikipedia says that in the first year of Jingchu under Emperor Ming of Wei (237) Gongsun Yuan declared himself King of Yan and took the era name Shaohan. In the second year of Shaohan (238) Sima Yi led an army against him and defeated him. In the eighth month Gongsun Yuan sent his chancellor Wang Jian and his censor-in-chief Liu Fu to ask Sima Yi to lift the siege and withdraw, promising that ruler and ministers would bind themselves and surrender if he agreed.[^zhwiki]&#xA;&#xA;## Execution&#xA;&#xA;Sima Yi had the envoys beheaded and sent Gongsun Yuan a proclamation saying that he was a senior duke of the Son of Heaven, that Wang Jian and Liu Fu had been discourteous in asking him to lift the siege and retire, and that the two old and muddled men had already been killed.[^zhwiki]&#xA;&#xA;## Differing death years&#xA;&#xA;Chinese Wikipedia gives his life as the 2nd century to 238, while Wikidata records his death in 239. The two differ by a year, and nothing on this entry decides between them, so both are given.[^zhwiki][^wikidata]&#xA;&#xA;## Basic facts&#xA;&#xA;- Name: Liu Fu, also written Liu Pu[^zhwiki]&#xA;- Office: censor-in-chief to Gongsun Yuan[^zhwiki]&#xA;- Dates: 2nd century to 238 (Chinese Wikipedia); death in 239 (Wikidata)[^zhwiki][^wikidata]&#xA;- Occupation recorded on this entry: political figure[^wikidata]&#xA;- Portrayal: [[person_cn_q124615203|Liu Fu]] (a character in Romance of the Three Kingdoms)</body>
