Sun Simiao (581 – 682), Chinese physician and writer (Tang dynasty).

## Official history

> 孫思邈，京兆華原人。通百家説，善言老子、莊周。周洛州總管獨孤信見其少，異之，曰：「聖童也，顧器大難爲用爾！」及長，居太白山。隋文帝輔政，以國子博士召，不拜。密語人曰：「後五十年有聖人出，吾且助之。」太宗初，召詣京師，年已老，而聽視聰嘹。帝歎曰：「有道者！」欲官之，不受。顯慶中，復召見，拜諫議大夫，固辭。
