<body>## Life&#xA;&#xA;Zengzi, personal name Zeng Shen and courtesy name Ziyu, was a native of the state of Lu and a disciple of Confucius. Sources disagree on his dates: Wikidata gives 503–434 BC, while the Chinese Wikipedia article gives 505–432 BC. This entry therefore does not present exact dates as settled facts. [^wikidata] [^zhwiki]&#xA;&#xA;## Thought and legacy&#xA;&#xA;Zengzi is associated with the saying “I examine myself three times daily.” Later Confucian tradition honored him as Zongsheng (“宗圣”). The Great Learning is also traditionally associated with him. [^zhwiki]&#xA;&#xA;## Related work&#xA;&#xA;- [[work_cn_q1069886|The Great Learning]]</body>
