Wikidata and Chinese Wikipedia both name him Zhou Shan, so the title is unchanged.[^wikidata][^zhwiki] ## In the novel According to the Chinese Wikipedia article, he followed Sun Ce from childhood and, after Sun Ce's death, followed Sun Quan as one of his household generals. When Liu Bei entered western Shu, Zhou Shan was ordered to Jingzhou to bring Lady Sun, Sun Shangxiang, back to Wu. On the way he was intercepted by Zhang Fei and Zhao Yun and killed by Zhang Fei. The article cites chapter 61 of the novel, in which Zhao Yun cuts off the river crossing to recover Adou and Sun Quan sends a letter to turn back Cao Cao.[^zhwiki] ## What Wikidata records Wikidata lists his occupation as military officer, his allegiance as the Sun Quan of the novel, his manner of death as homicide, his killer as the Zhang Fei of the novel, his place of death as the novel's Jingzhou, and the setting as the novel's country of Han.[^wikidata] ## Basic facts - Name: Zhou Shan[^wikidata] - Role: fictional character, subordinate general of Sun Quan[^wikidata][^zhwiki] - Manner of death: killed by Zhang Fei[^wikidata][^zhwiki] - Setting recorded on this entry: Han[^wikidata] - Appears in: [[work_cn_q70806|The Romance of the Three Kingdoms]] /people/zhou-shan.html en zh en Character in The Romance of the Three Kingdoms true literary character relation_cnworks_depicts_q70806_q1057244 work_cn_q70806 depicts person_cn_q1057244 work_cn_q70806 wikidata Related works work_cn_q70806 The Romance of the Three Kingdoms /en/works/romance-three-kingdoms.html true depicts Related works relation_cnworks_depicts_q70806_q1057244 work_cn_q70806 depicts person_cn_q1057244 work_cn_q70806 wikidata Related works work_cn_q70806 The Romance of the Three Kingdoms /en/works/romance-three-kingdoms.html true en zh en is_fictional Fictional yes person_category Person category literary character disambiguation Disambiguation Character in The Romance of the Three Kingdoms 1 50 1 1 1
