<body>## Overview&#xA;&#xA;Mecklenburg-Vorpommern lies in northeastern Germany on the Baltic Sea and, with around 1.61 million inhabitants (2022 census), is the most sparsely populated federal state. The state capital is Schwerin, the largest city Rostock. The state covers around 23,300 km². Its ISO-3166-2 code is DE-MV. The state joined the Federal Republic in 1990 in the course of reunification.&#xA;&#xA;## Administrative divisions&#xA;&#xA;The state did not establish government regions in 1990; there is only a planning area resembling a regional level. Below the state level, since the 2011 district reform there have been six rural districts and 2 urban districts (Rostock and Schwerin).&#xA;&#xA;## Major cities&#xA;&#xA;- Rostock (around 210,000 inhabitants)&#xA;- Schwerin (around 96,000 inhabitants)&#xA;- Neubrandenburg (around 64,000 inhabitants)&#xA;- Greifswald (around 60,000 inhabitants)&#xA;&#xA;## Transport&#xA;&#xA;Rostock, with its seaport and ferry connections to Denmark and Sweden, is the most important transport hub; the A 19 and A 20 (Baltic Sea motorway) as well as ICE connections to Berlin and Hamburg shape the transport network.&#xA;&#xA;## Economy&#xA;&#xA;Important are tourism on the Baltic coast and the Mecklenburg Lake District (including the Müritz), agriculture and food industry, shipbuilding and maritime industry as well as growing wind energy.</body>

<body>## Overview&#xA;&#xA;Berlin is the federal capital and a city state entirely surrounded by Brandenburg. About 3.66 million inhabitants (2022 census) live on around 892 km² – Berlin is also Germany&#39;s largest city. Its ISO-3166-2 code is DE-BE. After reunification in 1990, Berlin received the full status of a federal state.&#xA;&#xA;## Administrative divisions&#xA;&#xA;As a city state, Berlin is city and state at once; there are no rural districts. Instead, the city is divided into 12 boroughs (e.g. Mitte, Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, Neukölln), which perform the tasks of municipal administration.&#xA;&#xA;## Major cities&#xA;&#xA;- Berlin (as a city state, the city constitutes the entire state)&#xA;&#xA;## Transport&#xA;&#xA;Berlin&#39;s U-Bahn network with lines [[concept_ubahn_berlin_u1|U1]] to U9 is operated by [[organization_bvg|BVG]], complemented by the Berlin S-Bahn. With Berlin Brandenburg Airport, several ICE hubs and a dense road and cycling network, Berlin is the central transport hub of the east.&#xA;&#xA;## Economy&#xA;&#xA;Berlin is a centre for services, the digital economy, creative and cultural industries and start-ups; compared with the territorial states, industry plays a smaller role.</body>

<body>## Overview&#xA;&#xA;The regional station was opened on 14 March 1972 as part of the new Terminal Mitte (today Terminal 1) and was, after Berlin-Schönefeld, Germany&#39;s second airport station. Until the long-distance station entered service in 1999 it was called &#34;Frankfurt (Main) Flughafen&#34; and also served long-distance traffic. According to the airport, in 2017 more than 40,000 people boarded, alighted or transferred here daily.&#xA;&#xA;## Services&#xA;&#xA;- S-Bahn: Lines S8 and S9 of the S-Bahn Rhein-Main run alternately every 15 minutes to Wiesbaden or Offenbach/Hanau&#xA;- Regional rail: Two Regional-Express lines between Frankfurt am Main and Saarbrücken or Koblenz stop here (every two hours, jointly hourly as far as Ingelheim)&#xA;- Long-distance rail: No scheduled long-distance trains have stopped here since 2011; individual Nightjet trains serve the station at night&#xA;&#xA;## Station layout&#xA;&#xA;The station is a three-track tunnel through station with a 410 m long island platform, originally designed for long-distance traffic. It is directly connected to Terminal 1 via passageways; the separate long-distance station (since 1999) lies to the north of it.</body>

Nollendorfplatz is the only U-Bahn station in Berlin at which all four small-profile lines [[concept_ubahn_berlin_u1|U1]], [[concept_ubahn_berlin_u2|U2]], [[concept_ubahn_berlin_u3|U3]] and [[concept_ubahn_berlin_u4|U4]] stop. The dome of the elevated station was rebuilt between 1999 and 2002 in simplified form and solely through donations; the complex is a listed monument.&#xA;&#xA;## Services&#xA;&#xA;- U-Bahn: [[concept_ubahn_berlin_u1|U1]], [[concept_ubahn_berlin_u2|U2]], [[concept_ubahn_berlin_u3|U3]] and [[concept_ubahn_berlin_u4|U4]]; the U4 (the former Schöneberg U-Bahn, extended here from 1910) is the only line terminating at Nollendorfplatz&#xA;- S-Bahn/regional rail: none; connection to bus lines of [[organization_bvg|BVG]]&#xA;&#xA;## Station layout&#xA;&#xA;The station consists of the ground-level elevated station with domed building for the U2 and a two-storey underground station: U1 and U3 trains towards Warschauer Straße stop on the upper platform, while the U4 and the U1/U3 directions towards Wittenbergplatz stop on the lower platform. The elevated station was rebuilt in 1926 in simplified form without a dome.</body>
