# Nuremberg Hauptbahnhof

Nuremberg Hauptbahnhof (first opened 1844, today's building 1906) has 22 platform tracks, making it Europe's most track-rich through station, with around 200,000 travellers daily and a hub of ICE, U-Bahn and S-Bahn traffic.

## Overview

The first station was opened on 1 October 1844; the present neo-baroque station building to designs by Karl Zenger was completed in 1906. With 22 platform tracks, the through station is the most track-rich station of this type in Europe and, with around 200,000 travellers daily, Deutsche Bahn's ninth-busiest long-distance station.
