Its area is about 0 km2 and its population about 0.0 million (2024), with its capital at .\n\n## History\n\nKnown for the Aizu War of 1868 centering on Aizu-Wakamatsu; in 1876 the three provinces of Nakadori, Iwaki and Iwase were merged into Fukushima Prefecture.\n\n## Geography and industry\n\nThe third-largest prefecture by area. Tsuruga Castle in Aizu-Wakamatsu, Kitakata ramen, Ouchi-juku, Mount Bandai and Lake Inawashiro are famous.
