Lǘdagǔn, also called doumiangao, is a traditional Beijing snack and one of the items associated with Huguosi snacks. The Beijing municipal government notes that Huguosi snacks include more than 80 Beijing-style specialties. In the past, a temple fair at Huguosi on the eighth day of each lunar month drew snack vendors from across the capital, helping these foods circulate.[^s1]
