# Ligne U6 (métro de Berlin)

La ligne U6 est une ligne du métro de Berlin de 19,9 km comportant 29 stations, ouverte le 30 janvier 1923, qui relie en direction nord-sud Alt-Tegel à Tegel, via Friedrichstraße et Tempelhof, à Alt-Mariendorf.

## Présentation

La ligne U6 du métro de Berlin relie en direction nord-sud Alt-Tegel à Tegel, via Wedding, la Friedrichstraße et le centre-ville, à Tempelhof et Alt-Mariendorf. Elle compte 29 stations et une longueur de 19,9 km. La ligne fut ouverte le 30 janvier 1923 comme Nord-Süd-Bahn (alors ligne C ou CI) et pour la dernière fois prolongée le 28 février 1966 jusqu'à Alt-Mariendorf. Pendant la division de Berlin, plusieurs stations du tronçon berlinois-est furent traversées sans arrêt comme « stations fantômes » ; le 4 décembre 2020 fut ouverte la station Unter den Linden, qui remplaça la station Französische Straße fermée en 2020.

## Histoire

La Nord-Süd-Bahn construite par la ville de Berlin entra en service le 30 janvier 1923 entre Hallesches Tor et la Stettiner Bahnhof (aujourd'hui Naturkundemuseum) — la première ligne à grand profil du réseau. Dans les années 1950 et 1960, la ligne fut prolongée aux deux extrémités : le 3 mai 1956 vers Kurt-Schumacher-Platz, le 31 mai 1958 vers Alt-Tegel et le 28 février 1966 vers Alt-Mariendorf. À l'époque de la division de Berlin, la ligne traversait dans le secteur est cinq « stations fantômes » fermées, où aucun arrêt n'était effectué.
