Ha 18 stazioni e una lunghezza di 12,5 km. La linea fu inaugurata il 28 agosto 1961 come linea G e prolungata l'ultima volta il 30 aprile 1976 fino a Rathaus Steglitz.\n\n## Gestore\n\nIl gestore è la [[organization_bvg|Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG)]].\n\n\n## Storia\n\nLa terza linea nord-sud di Berlino Ovest, progettata come linea G, fu costruita a partire dal 23 giugno 1955 e inaugurata il 28 agosto 1961 tra Leopoldplatz e Spichernstraße. È l'unica linea della metropolitana di Berlino costruita interamente dopo la seconda guerra mondiale e interamente in territorio di Berlino Ovest.
