# Linea U9 (metropolitana di Berlino)

La U9 è una linea della metropolitana di Berlino lunga 12,5 km, interamente sotterranea, con 18 stazioni, inaugurata il 28 agosto 1961, che collega Osloer Straße a Gesundbrunnen, attraverso Zoologischer Garten, a Rathaus Steglitz.

## Panoramica

La linea U9 della metropolitana di Berlino corre interamente in sotterraneo in direzione nord-sud da Osloer Straße a Gesundbrunnen, attraverso Wedding, Moabit (Turmstraße, Hansaplatz), Zoologischer Garten e Kurfürstendamm, attraverso l'ovest del centro cittadino fino a Friedenau e Steglitz (Rathaus Steglitz). Ha 18 stazioni e una lunghezza di 12,5 km. La linea fu inaugurata il 28 agosto 1961 come linea G e prolungata l'ultima volta il 30 aprile 1976 fino a Rathaus Steglitz.

## Storia

La terza linea nord-sud di Berlino Ovest, progettata come linea G, fu costruita a partire dal 23 giugno 1955 e inaugurata il 28 agosto 1961 tra Leopoldplatz e Spichernstraße. È l'unica linea della metropolitana di Berlino costruita interamente dopo la seconda guerra mondiale e interamente in territorio di Berlino Ovest. Seguirono i prolungamenti del 1971 a Walther-Schreiber-Platz, il 30 settembre 1974 a Rathaus Steglitz e il 30 aprile 1976 a Osloer Straße.
