Donnall Thomas，1920年3月15日—2012年10月20日）出生于美国，2012年10月20日在西雅图（美国）去世。\n\n## 生平与职业生涯\n\n唐纳尔·托马斯在得克萨斯大学和哈佛医学院受教育，获得医学博士学位，长期从事血液学研究。1955年起他在纽约州库珀斯敦的玛丽·伊莫金·巴塞特医院工作，与妻子兼研究伙伴多蒂·托马斯合作，先以啮齿动物、后以狗为模型研究骨髓移植，1963年把研究项目迁到西雅图，1975年转入新成立的弗雷德·哈钦森癌症研究中心[^s3]。\n\n## 主要成就\n\n托马斯把骨髓移植从实验设想变为治疗白血病等血液病的临床方法：先用放化疗清除病变骨髓，再输入供者造血干细胞重建血液与免疫系统。他逐步解决了供受体组织配型与移植物抗宿主病等关键问题，1956年完成同卵双生子间的移植，1968年完成非同卵亲属供者移植，1979年完成无关供者移植，使造血干细胞移植成为常规疗法[^s1][^s3]。\n\n## 获奖\n\n1990 年诺贝尔生理学或医学奖由 2 位得主共享，唐纳尔·托马斯占其中 1/2 份，官方获奖理由（官方原文）：“for their discoveries concerning organ and cell transplantation in the treatment of human disease”[^s1]。获奖时所属机构为 Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center，所在地为西雅图（美国）[^s1]。\n\n## 参见\n\n[[work_nobel_prize_1990|1990 年诺贝尔奖]]、[[concept_nobel_prize|诺贝尔奖]]",
