## 获奖

1979 年诺贝尔物理学奖由 3 位得主共享，史蒂文·温伯格占其中 1/3 份，官方获奖理由（官方原文）：“for their contributions to the theory of the unified weak and electromagnetic interaction between elementary particles, including, inter alia, the prediction of the weak neutral current”[^s1]。获奖时所属机构为 Harvard University，所在地为剑桥（美国）[^s1]。

## 生平与贡献

温伯格是理论物理学家，是粒子物理标准模型的主要奠基人之一。1967 年，他与阿卜杜勒·萨拉姆、谢尔登·格拉肖各自独立提出弱相互作用与电磁相互作用的统一理论（电弱统一理论），预言了 W 玻色子、Z 玻色子与希格斯机制的有关效应；他还著有科普名作《最初三分钟》，并长期任教于得克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校[^s1][^s2]。1979 年诺贝尔物理学奖表彰电弱统一理论[^s2]。
