明定陵

明定陵是明神宗万历帝及其孝端显皇后、孝靖太后的合葬陵寝，位于北京昌平明十三陵，地宫经考古发掘并开放。

## 位置与范围

定陵地面建筑占地约十八万平方米，前有三进院落，后接宝城；规模在十三陵中仅次于长陵、永陵。[^zhwiki]

## 沿革与发掘

万历十二年（1584年）前后开始营建，历时约六年建成；万历四十八年（1620年）神宗崩后葬入。[^zhwiki]1956年经国务院批准试掘，1957年打开玄宫石门，是明十三陵中第一座也是迄今唯一经考古发掘的帝陵地宫。[^zhwiki]

## 现状

属明十三陵全国重点文物保护单位与世界遗产范围；地宫现以「地下宫殿」形式对公众开放。[^zhwiki]
