# ミシュラングループ

ミシュラングループは1889年、フランスのクレルモン＝フェランでアンドレとエドゥアール・ミシュラン兄弟が創業しました。『ミシュランガイド』を発行し、レストランの星評価は1926年に始まりました。

## 概要

ミシュラングループは1889年にフランスのクレルモン＝フェランでアンドレとエドゥアール・ミシュラン兄弟が創業しました。『ミシュランガイド』を発行し、対象地域ごとに飲食店のセレクションを公開しています[^guide]。

## ガイドの始まり

ガイドは自動車旅行を促す目的で作られ、地図、タイヤ交換や給油の情報、飲食店や宿泊先の一覧を掲載しました。初期の版は無料でしたが、1920年に有料販売へ移行し、パリのホテルとレストランをカテゴリー別に掲載するとともに、有料広告を廃止しました[^guide]。

## レストランの評価

レストラン欄の影響力が高まると、匿名の調査員が店舗を訪問して評価するようになりました。1926年に高級レストランへの星の授与が始まり、当初は一つ星のみでした。1931年に0〜3つ星の段階が設けられ、1936年に評価基準が公表されました[^guide]。

公式紹介ページによると、ガイドは三大陸の30超の地域を対象に30,000超の飲食店を評価し、世界で3,000万冊以上が販売されています[^guide]。
