# 바이에른주

바이에른주는 면적 약 70,500 km²로 독일에서 가장 크고, 인구 약 1,310만 명(2022년 인구조사)으로 두 번째로 인구가 많은 연방주이며, 주도는 뮌헨이다.

## 개요

바이에른 자유주(Freistaat Bayern)는 독일 남동부에 위치하며 오스트리아와 체코와 국경을 접한다. 주도는 뮌헨이다. 바이에른은 면적이 가장 큰 연방주(약 70,500 km²)이며 인구는 약 1,310만 명(2022년 인구조사)이다. ISO 3166-2 코드는 DE-BY이다. 바이에른은 1949년 독일연방공화국의 창립 주였다.

## 행정구역

이 주는 7개 행정구역(Regierungsbezirk)으로 나뉜다: 오버바이에른, 니더바이에른, 오버팔츠, 오버프랑켄, 미텔프랑켄, 운터프랑켄, 슈바벤. 그 아래 71개 군(Landkreis)과 25개 군직할시(kreisfreie Stadt)가 있다 — 모든 연방주 중 가장 많은 수다.

바이에른은 독일에서 가장 큰 주(州) 경제를 보유하며, 자동차·항공우주 산업(BMW, 아우디), 전기공학(지멘스), 반도체(인피니언) 분야가 강하고 알프스 지역의 강력한 관광 산업도 있다.
