베를린은 연방 수도이자 브란덴부르크주가 완전히 둘러싼 지역에 있는 도시주다. 약 892 km²에 약 366만 명(2022년 인구조사)이 살며 — 베를린은 동시에 독일에서 가장 큰 도시다. ISO 3166-2 코드는 DE-BE이다. 1990년 재통일 이후 베를린은 완전한 연방주 지위를 얻었다.
