约翰·奥基夫（John O'Keefe，1939年11月18日—）是爱尔兰裔神经科学家，海马体位置细胞的发现者，2014年获诺贝尔生理学或医学奖。

## 生平与职业生涯

奥基夫在纽约长大，于纽约市立大学获学士学位，在麦吉尔大学获博士学位，现为伦敦大学学院解剖学系与认知神经科学研究所教授。[^wiki-person_nobel_903]

## 主要成就

奥基夫在海马体中发现位置细胞：这类神经元在动物处于特定位置时放电，从而在大脑中构成一幅环境的空间地图；他的位置细胞发现与莫泽夫妇的网格细胞发现共同揭示了大脑定位系统的细胞基础，2013年他与莫泽夫妇同获霍维茨奖，2014年三人共享诺贝尔生理学或医学奖。[^wiki-person_nobel_903]
