De volledige lijn werd op 28 november 2005 geopend. De lijn is 18,3 km lang, heeft 17 stations en loopt van zuid naar noord van het district Suyeong naar Daejeo-dong in het district Gangseo.[^hankyoreh-20051020][^humetro-cyber-map-202610]\n\nBij de opening waren alle stations uitgerust met perrondeuren en brandveiligheidsvoorzieningen, waaronder sprinklers op de perrons.
