# Linha U7 (Metro de Berlim)

Com 31,8 km e 40 estações, a U7 é a linha mais longa do metro de Berlim; foi inaugurada em 19 de abril de 1924 e liga Rathaus Spandau, passando por Neukölln e Gropiusstadt, a Rudow.

## Visão geral

A linha de metro U7 é a linha de metro mais longa de Berlim: tem 40 estações, 31,8 km de extensão e percorre todo o traçado em túnel. Vai de Rathaus Spandau, no noroeste, por Siemensstadt, Charlottenburg, Schöneberg e Neukölln, até Rudow, no sudeste. O troço mais antigo (Hallesches Tor–Belle-Alliance-Straße–Grenzallee) foi inaugurado em 19 de abril de 1924 como ramal da Nord-Süd-Bahn; desde 28 de fevereiro de 1966 que a U7 é uma linha independente, e a sua última expansão ocorreu em 1 de outubro de 1984 até Rathaus Spandau.

## História

A U7 surgiu como ramal sudeste (C I) da Nord-Süd-Bahn, cujo primeiro troço foi inaugurado em 19 de abril de 1924 entre Belle-Alliance-Straße (hoje Mehringdamm) e Gneisenaustraße. Cresceu, em várias etapas, até à linha atual: em 1963 até Britz-Süd, em 1966 separação da linha C e prolongamento até Möckernbrücke, em 1970/72 até Rudow e em 1978 até Richard-Wagner-Platz. Em 1 de outubro de 1984, com a presença do chanceler federal Helmut Kohl, foi inaugurado o troço até Rathaus Spandau. Com 31,8 quilómetros e 40 estações, a U7, totalmente em túnel, é a linha de metro mais longa de Berlim e da Alemanha.
