**阿瑟·阿什金**（Arthur Ashkin，1922年9月2日—2020年9月21日）出生于纽约（美国），2020年9月21日在拉姆森（美国）去世。

## 生平与职业生涯

阿什金在康奈尔大学获博士学位，长期任职于贝尔实验室，从事激光与光学研究。[^s3][^s4]

## 主要成就

阿什金发明光镊，以聚焦激光束捕获并操纵微小粒子与活细胞，为生物物理与单分子研究提供了关键工具。[^s3][^s4]

## 获奖

2018 年诺贝尔物理学奖由 3 位得主共享，阿瑟·阿什金占其中 1/2 份，官方获奖理由（官方原文）：“for the optical tweezers and their application to biological systems”[^s1]。获奖时所属机构为 Bell Laboratories，所在地为霍姆德尔镇（美国）[^s1]。
