《新青年》的创办者之一，是新文化运动的重要人物。

## 生平

陈独秀字仲甫，安徽怀宁人，是新文化运动的领袖。1915 年他在上海创办《青年杂志》，后更名为《新青年》，提倡民主与科学；1917 年任北京大学文科学长，成为新思想传播的中心人物。1921 年他参与创建中国共产党并任总书记，1927 年后脱离中共，1942 年病逝于四川江津。[^s1]
