Software Maintenance

Software maintenance is the whole of the activity by which software continues to evolve after it is in operation, in response to defects, changes in the operating environment, and new requirements.

Updated · rev 2 · Aliases:软件维护

Successful development delivers software that satisfies user requirements. As requirements and other factors change, the software must evolve: defects are uncovered, operating environments change, and new user requirements surface. The maintenance phase of the life cycle begins after a warranty period or after delivery of post-implementation support, while maintenance activities can occur earlier. Acceptance of DevOps has led organizations to place more weight on evolving software continuously while keeping it operating smoothly.[1]
