The troupe, and where she went
She is one of the twelve girls the Jia house bought to sing. The article names the other eleven as Wenguan, Baoguan, Yuguan, Lingguan, Diguan, Ouguan, Ruiguan, Qieguan, Fangguan, Kuiguan, and Douguan. Aiguan played the comic old man. After the troupe was disbanded she was given to Jia Tanchun as a maid. Lady Wang later drove the singing girls out of the garden on the ground that they were all fox spirits. Aiguan's godmother took her away and arranged a marriage for her. Zhou Ruchang held that she was one of the five secondary names on the register of feeling.[2]
