Cui Yong is a fictional character in Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Wikidata's Chinese label is 崔勇 and describes him as a subordinate general of Guo Si, with Han as the dynasty of the work's setting. The Chinese Wikipedia article is titled 崔勇 with the parenthetical (三国演义), which only distinguishes it from others of the same name, so the heading stays as it is.[1][2]
In the novel
According to Chinese Wikipedia's summary, after Emperor Xian's party escaped from Li Jue, Guo Si sent Cui Yong and others to chase them with troops. They had nearly caught up at Huayin county when Yang Feng appeared with troops and guarded the emperor's party. Cui Yong galloped out of Guo Si's army and cursed Yang Feng as a rebel. Yang Feng, angered, turned and called his officer Xu Huang from the ranks, which is Xu Huang's first appearance in the book. Xu Huang met Cui Yong with a great axe in hand, and at the first clash of their horses cut him down. Yang Feng then attacked Guo Si's army and drove it back more than twenty li.[2]
