Ma Xiu was a figure of the Three Kingdoms period. Wikidata's Chinese label is 馬休, written 马休 in simplified characters, and the Chinese Wikipedia article carries the same title, so the heading stays as it is. This entry records his life as 178 to 211 and his country as China.[1][2]
Family
Chinese Wikipedia says he was a son of Ma Teng, a general of the northwest in the Three Kingdoms, and a brother of Ma Chao. Wikidata also lists Ma Teng as his father.[2][1]
The move to Ye and his death
Chinese Wikipedia records that when Cao Cao was made chancellor he wanted to call Ma Chao to the capital as a subordinate, and Ma Chao did not accept. Cao Cao then summoned Ma Teng under the title of commandant of the guards to take office in the capital, and Ma Chao was made general of the flank and Marquis of Duting. Ma Xiu moved with the family to Ye, the capital of Cao Wei. Later, in 211, Ma Chao rose in revolt against Cao, and Cao Cao put to death Ma Chao's father Ma Teng and his family and brothers, and Ma Xiu died at that time. The article is short and does not record his courtesy name, offices or personal deeds.[2]
