Bangkok is the capital of Thailand[1] and its only province-level municipality; its governor is directly elected[1]. Suvarnabhumi Airport, which replaced Don Mueang International Airport, is an important air hub in Southeast Asia[1].
Nine Bangkok restaurants are listed in the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide 2025[3].
MICHELIN Guide
Bangkok is one of the cities covered by the MICHELIN Guide Thailand. The 2025 edition's 462 restaurants and counts for stars, Bib Gourmand, and Selected are national edition figures; see the 2025 MICHELIN Guide Thailand overview. They should not be read as Bangkok-only counts. [5]
The official full list of starred restaurants for the 2026 edition contains 43 restaurants: 2 with three stars, 8 with two stars, and 33 with one star. The list assigns 39 to Bangkok, 2 to Nonthaburi, 1 to Phang Nga, and 1 to Phuket. It is the Thailand edition's starred roster, not the guide's total restaurant selection or a Bangkok-only list. [4]
