The Gemini app is Google's consumer multimodal AI assistant, succeeding Bard, which launched in March 2023; it was renamed Gemini in February 2024 and is available on the web, Android and iOS.
It gives users direct access to Google's latest Gemini models, with Gemini Live voice conversations, image and video generation, Deep Research, Canvas, custom Gems, and extensions for Workspace, Maps and YouTube; generated content carries SynthID watermarks.
