Toei Animation Co., Ltd. is a Japanese animation company, founded on 23 January 1948 and reorganized as a stock company on 31 July 1956. Its head office is in Nakano, Nakano-ku, Tokyo, and it has been listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange since December 2000.
Business and works
Its business covers the production and sale of television and theatrical animation and the licensing of works. Representative titles include Dragon Ball, One Piece, Sailor Moon and the Pretty Cure series; Pretty Cure has released a new installment every year since 2004, and its transformation items have long been developed and sold by toy companies.
