Nagano (ナガノ) is a Japanese illustrator and manga artist known for small, soft-toned characters drawn with simple lines, and is the author of Chiikawa.
In January 2020 Nagano opened a dedicated X account for the series and began serializing it; related characters had appeared on the artist's personal account earlier. After the work spread on social media, Kodansha published the first collected volume in 2021, a television anime followed in 2022, and the first feature film opened in 2026 with Nagano writing and supervising.
