Arpège is a creative and vegetarian-cuisine restaurant located at 84 rue de Varenne in Paris's 7th arrondissement[1].
Overview
Arpège is the flagship of chef Alain Passard and has held three MICHELIN stars continuously since 1996, making it one of the most influential restaurants in France, famed for putting vegetables at the centre of haute cuisine. Passard grows vegetables in his own kitchen gardens (in Sarthe, Eure and beyond), whose produce arrives daily and shapes a menu that changes with the seasons. Since 21 July 2025 the restaurant has served an exclusively plant-based cuisine: vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers and honey from its own beehives form the new symphony. The discreet facade faces the Rodin Museum, and the dining room features an Art Deco-flavoured bucolic fresco[1].
Distinctions
The restaurant is included in the starred list for central Paris of the MICHELIN Guide France 2025. [2]
Signature Dishes
Recommended dishes include "sushis fantaisies" and "pommes de terre fumées au bois de hêtre et leur sauce marchand de vin" [1].
