WeRide (文远知行), founded in 2017 and based in Guangzhou, builds autonomous driving technology on its in-house WeRide One general-purpose platform. Its products cover three scenarios — smart mobility, smart freight and smart sanitation — with Robotaxi, Robobus, Robosweeper, Robovan and ADAS solutions.
Capital and listings
On 25 October 2024 WeRide listed on Nasdaq under the ticker WRD. On 6 November 2025 it listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under code 0800.HK, becoming the first autonomous driving company with a dual primary listing in the United States and Hong Kong.
Business and global footprint
In China, WeRide's Robotaxi service operates commercially with no safety driver in Guangzhou and Beijing and provides service at transport hubs such as airports and railway stations. The company runs commercial Robotaxi operations with Uber in the Middle East and has deployed Level 4 fleets in several European countries. It says its products hold autonomous driving permits in China, the UAE, Singapore, France, Saudi Arabia, Belgium and the United States.
