Overview

The ZOB am Funkturm was put into operation in May 1966 on the initiative of Gustav Severin and replaced the bus station at Stuttgarter Platz. It lies on the western edge of the City West on Masurenallee, directly on the Ringbahn and the parallel urban motorway, immediately adjacent to the exhibition grounds. Since 2001 the ZOB has been operated by the Internationale Omnibusbahnhof Betreiber Gesellschaft (IOB), a wholly owned subsidiary of BVG. In 2017 around 166,000 departures and arrivals and some six million passengers and visitors were counted.
