Beijing railway station is a railway station and a Beijing Subway station in Dongcheng District, Beijing. The railway station was first built in 1901 under the name Zhengyangmen East Station; the current station building, completed in 1959, is one of the Ten Great Buildings of the capital and a principal terminal for trains on the Beijing–Shanghai and Beijing–Harbin railways. The co-located metro station on Line 2 opened in 1971.
