Overview
The elevated station was opened in 1902 as a station of the Berlin Hochbahn main line, built to designs by Wilhelm Cremer and Richard Wolffenstein. Nollendorfplatz is the only U-Bahn station in Berlin at which all four small-profile lines U1, U2, U3 and U4 stop. The dome of the elevated station was rebuilt between 1999 and 2002 in simplified form and solely through donations; the complex is a listed monument.
Services
- U-Bahn: U1, U2, U3 and U4; the U4 (the former Schöneberg U-Bahn, extended here from 1910) is the only line terminating at Nollendorfplatz
- S-Bahn/regional rail: none; connection to bus lines of BVG
Station layout
The station consists of the ground-level elevated station with domed building for the U2 and a two-storey underground station: U1 and U3 trains towards Warschauer Straße stop on the upper platform, while the U4 and the U1/U3 directions towards Wittenbergplatz stop on the lower platform. The elevated station was rebuilt in 1926 in simplified form without a dome.
